Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus uploaded a video with a caption that included an Eid greeting and a plea for people to remember the 1.2 million refugees in the Teknaf camps. This was 16 days after a joint visit to the camps with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Yunus hoped that Guterres could mobilize aid for refugees and citizens alike after the Trump administration announced cuts to foreign aid.

Even earlier, on 14th of March 2025 Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus gave a speech in the Chatgaya dialect in front a crowd of Rohingya refugees in which he hoped for their next Eid celebration to be in their homeland. This shows a continued effort on the part of the Chief Advisor to campaign for Rohingya relief and repatriation.
